When the Call Came: Camden Brown Is Making the Most of His NFL Opportunity

There are moments in an athlete’s journey that make every sacrifice, every setback, and every unanswered question feel worth it.
For Forever Athlete Management client Camden Brown, one of those moments came when the Dallas Cowboys called.
But his story did not begin with Dallas, and his road to the NFL was anything but guaranteed.
Camden spent the first three years of his college career at Auburn, waiting for the opportunity to show everything he could do.
Following the 2024 season, he entered the transfer portal and found a new home at Georgia Southern.
One season was all he needed to change the trajectory of his career.
In 2025, Camden became the first 1,000-yard receiver in Georgia Southern history, finishing the season with 65 receptions for 1,079 yards and a school-record 14 receiving touchdowns.
He earned First-Team All-Sun Belt honors, was named the Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year, and established himself as an NFL prospect.
Then Came Draft Weekend
Like every prospect, Camden entered the weekend hoping to hear his name called.
Seven rounds came and went without it.
For an athlete who had spent years working toward this moment, going undrafted could have felt like an ending.
For Camden, it became the beginning of the next chapter.
The conclusion of the draft opened the door to free agency, and eventually the call came from one of the most recognizable franchises in professional sports.
The Dallas Cowboys wanted Camden Brown.
He signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent and arrived with something to prove.
From our perspective at Forever Athlete Management, this part of Camden’s story says so much about who he is.
The opportunity was never promised.
A roster spot was not guaranteed.
The only thing Camden could control was what he did when he stepped onto the field.
So, he went to work.
Throughout Cowboys training camp, Camden began turning heads, making plays, and showing that he belonged in the conversation.
But eventually, practice had to turn into a game.
And when Camden finally got that opportunity, he made it count.
His First NFL Game
On August 15, Camden suited up for his first NFL preseason game as the Cowboys traveled to Seattle to face the Seahawks.
This time, there were no scouting reports to write, projections to debate, or questions about what he might do.
It was time to play football.
And Camden delivered.
Three receptions.
62 receiving yards.
Two touchdowns.
His first score came on a 39-yard touchdown connection with Sam Howell.
Later, Camden found the end zone again, this time making a spectacular one-handed touchdown catch from Joe Milton III.
His two touchdowns accounted for 12 of Dallas’ 17 points as the Cowboys defeated Seattle, 17-7.
For an undrafted rookie fighting for his place in the NFL, it was the kind of performance that demanded attention.
For FAM, it meant something more.
More Than a Moment

We saw the work that led to his breakout season at Georgia Southern.
We walked through the pre-draft process with him.
We experienced the uncertainty of Draft Weekend and the transition into free agency.
And now, we get to watch him take advantage of an opportunity he earned.
That is what makes moments like this special.

From waiting for his opportunity at Auburn, to rewriting the record book at Georgia Southern, to waiting through seven rounds of the NFL Draft, to signing with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, Camden kept going.
Then his number was called.
And when it was, he was ready.
